Senior Integration Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing enterprise integration solutions. The candidate will work closely with application teams to deliver enterprise-wide solutions while assessing functional and non-functional requirements. • Assess functional and non-functional requirements and create integration designs to meet both business and technical needs.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integration solutions and process flows using various tools including IBM App Connect Enterprise and IBM MQ in support of multiple business projects and systems.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support of production systems on a rotation basis for integration solutions and platforms to back up primary administrators.
• Understand, refine, and comply with integration standards, guidelines, and best practices as defined by the integration team.
• Work with Solution Architects to ensure that application designs utilize the appropriate integration patterns and standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and standards.
• Build and maintain a solid understanding of the integrations and the business areas supported.
• Maintain regular and reliable workplace attendance at the assigned location.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Assist in other areas of the department as necessary.
• Maintain detail orientation, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze potential future issues.
• Support off-hours work as required including on-location and 24/7 on-call responsibilities on a rotational basis.

• Experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (aka ACE, formerly IBM Integration Bus) and IBM MQ in support of multiple business projects.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions (candidates with general software development and integration technology experience will be trained on specific integration technologies as necessary).
• 3+ years of experience coding with XML, JSON, or SQL.
• Proven ability to develop software solutions with supporting documentation.
• Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of multiple application areas.
• Ability to build lasting, trusted partnerships across various functional areas and technical disciplines.
• Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, and detail-oriented personality.
• Proven ability to set and follow priorities and timelines.
• Ability to work on multiple simultaneous timelines.

Recommended Qualifications:

• Familiarity with REST API concepts, including OAuth2.
• Familiarity with Google PubSub.
• Familiarity with SAP.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Containers, and OpenShift.
• Experience with JavaCompute node development.
• Knowledge of multiple operating systems, especially i5/OS (System i / iSeries / AS/400), AIX, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience with various programming and scripting languages (Java, C#, Bash/Korn).
• Experience working within the Agile framework.
