Junior Cloud Engineer

• Serve our Microsoft Azure customers in executing project tasks/activities, supervising work completion, perform quality reviews, and report progress.
• Work with a team to deliver Systems Engineering and Systems Administration for Azure, ITSM, Sentris and Sentris-integrated solutions.
• Assist with technical design and implementation using Agile methodologies such as a Scrum team. Plan, schedule, and update program activities in MS Project, ADO, etc.
• Identify high-risk areas and present recommendations to management. Build and maintain influential relationships with key client personnel.
• Coordinate root-cause analysis for complex technical errors within Azure and integrated environments.

MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA., * Bachelor’s Degree and at least 1 year of related technical experience. An additional year of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

• Demonstrated knowledge of System Engineering Lifecycle phases and Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to systematically diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, cloud, and application-level technical errors under tight timelines.
• Position requires compliance with DoD 8140.03 (Cybersecurity Workforce Management Program). The applicant must possess, or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire, an approved baseline credential matching the required DoD 8140 Work Role System Administrator (451)., * Experience implementing AI-driven services or API-integrated cloud solutions (e.g., Azure OpenAI, RESTful APIs, or API management tools).
• Experience with Incident Management frameworks (such as ITIL) to handle SLA-driven ticketing, escalation paths, and zero-day technical errors.
• Experience identifying and performing schedule risk analysis.
• Experience establishing/maintaining schedule templates, processes, and procedures

• Candidate must have a current/active Top Secret / SCI clearance

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75%.
• The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office.
• The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
