Job description

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with hands-on IoT experience and strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, particularly .NET and C#, to join our team in modernizing a clinical diagnostics remote instrument monitoring platform.

The platform is transitioning from a legacy technology stack (TFS, VB6, and AngularJS) to a modern, cloud-native architecture using AWS ECS Fargate, React 19, .NET 8, and GitHub Actions.

In this role, you will work across IoT connectivity, instrument integration, full-stack application development, software packaging and distribution, and AI-powered development solutions. You will contribute to building a scalable, secure, and reliable platform used by hospitals and clinical laboratories worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  1. IoT & Instrument Connectivity
  • Develop and maintain IoT communication pipelines using MQTT, AMQP, and REST APIs.
  • Build lightweight Windows/Linux edge applications for instrument telemetry, monitoring, and software update enforcement.
  • Integrate diagnostic instruments with cloud-based services and backend systems.
  • Support the migration of legacy instrument interfaces and applications to modern technologies.
  1. Full Stack Application Development
  • Develop responsive web applications and dashboards using React 19, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Build backend services, REST APIs, and event-driven microservices using .NET 8/C# and Python.
  • Implement dashboards for instrument monitoring, alerts, consumable tracking, and software update status.
  • Develop reliable, secure, and maintainable applications following established coding standards.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
  1. Software Packaging & Distribution
  • Develop and maintain software installers using MSI, NSIS, or equivalent packaging technologies.
  • Implement software update mechanisms, including version detection, delta updates, rollback, and audit trails.
  • Support software distribution for connected and air-gapped instrument environments.
  • Integrate packaging and release workflows into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
  • Follow applicable regulated software development and release practices, including IEC 62304-aligned processes where required.
  1. AI Agent Development & Engineering Productivity
  • Develop AI-powered agents and workflows using LangGraph, MCP, LanEligible to workhain, or similar frameworks.
  • Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using instrument manuals and technical support knowledge bases.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code.
  • Explore and implement AI-based solutions for code generation, pull request automation, test scaffolding, and developer productivity.
  1. Cloud & DevOps
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native services on AWS ECS Fargate.
  • Work with AWS services such as S3, SQS, and CloudWatch.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
  • Support infrastructure automation using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  • Contribute to containerization, deployment automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

Internet of Things, Internet of Things, Microsoft C# (C Sharp), Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Product Family, RMON, Diagnostics Solutions/Software, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Microsoft Visual Basic, Amazon Web Services (AWS), * 2-6 years of experience in full-stack software development, delivering production-ready applications.

  • Strong hands-on experience with IoT development and Microsoft technologies, especially .NET and C# (Level 4 expertise).
  • Experience developing backend applications and REST APIs using .NET/C# or Python.
  • Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development practices.
  • Practical experience with IoT communication protocols such as MQTT and AMQP, or instrument/edge software integration.
  • Experience with software packaging, installers, containers, or software update mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device software, clinical diagnostics, or in-vitro diagnostics (IVD).
  • Familiarity with IEC 62304, FDA 21 CFR requirements, and regulated software development practices.
  • Experience building and deploying AI agents using LangGraph, MCP, or LanEligible to workhain.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS ECS Fargate, Terraform, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Knowledge of Windows/Linux edge agents, MSI/NSIS installers, and delta-update mechanisms.
  • Experience with legacy technology migration, particularly AngularJS, VB6, and TFS.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data security, HIPAA-related considerations, and audit trail implementation.

Technology Stack

  • Frontend: React 19, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Next.js
  • Backend: .NET 8, C#, Python, FastAPI, REST, GraphQL
  • IoT & Edge: MQTT, AMQP, Windows/Linux edge agents, instrument interfaces
