Performance Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Performance Engineer to support performance optimization and testing across enterprise applications and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in performance testing, scalability assessment, and application monitoring, with practical experience using Dynatrace, Apache JMeter, CI/CD automation tools, and Google Lighthouse. This role focuses on detecting performance issues, improving application efficiency, and maintaining system stability and reliability across enterprise environments., Develop and implement performance testing approaches for web applications, APIs, and distributed enterprise systems. Create, enhance, and maintain JMeter test scripts to evaluate application behavior under varying workloads and stress conditions. Use Dynatrace to monitor application health, investigate performance degradation, and recommend corrective actions. Automate performance test execution by integrating testing processes into CI/CD pipelines. Perform Google Lighthouse assessments to identify front-end optimization opportunities and improve website performance. Diagnose bottlenecks across application components, databases, infrastructure, and network layers. Partner with development, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to investigate and resolve performance-related challenges. Develop performance monitoring dashboards, detailed test reports, and concise summaries for technical teams and leadership. Establish, monitor, and report on performance Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Contribute to capacity planning, ongoing production monitoring, and initiatives focused on improving application stability and scalability.

Minimum 7 years of experience in performance engineering, performance analysis, and software performance testing. Hands-on expertise in Dynatrace for application monitoring, observability, performance diagnostics, and root cause investigation. Proficiency in Apache JMeter for developing test scripts and performing load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing. Experience embedding performance testing into automated CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Practical knowledge of Google Lighthouse for evaluating website performance, accessibility, SEO, and adherence to web development best practices. Strong understanding of key performance indicators, including response time, throughput, latency, concurrent users, CPU, memory, and network utilization. Ability to interpret application logs, infrastructure metrics, monitoring data, and performance test reports. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices architectures, and distributed application environments. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Shell. Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities., Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, AppDynamics, or Splunk. Experience supporting containerized workloads and Kubernetes-based application environments. Understanding of performance engineering practices for cloud-native applications and services.
