SAP S/4HANA Functional & Technical Consultant

A leading digital transformation partner for manufacturers, helping global enterprises migrate to SAP S/4HANA and integrate bestinclass solutions such as OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and Ariba. Our client portfolio includes major players in the chemical and broader manufacturing sectors. We are seeking a seasoned SAP/OpenText professional to drive a highimpact automation project that will raise invoiceprocessing automation from 20% to 70% in a live S/4HANA environment., The selected consultant will act as both a functional and technical authority for OpenText VIM within an SAP S/4HANA 2021 (FPS02) landscape. Working closely with the clients project lead and the implementation partner, you will:

• Analyse the current VIM configuration, identify gaps, and design a robust reconfiguration that meets the target automation rate.
• Lead the endtoend configuration, testing, documentation, and production rollout of OpenText VIM 20.4 SP07 (including integration with Ariba).
• Provide onsite/virtual hypercare and warranty support postgolive, ensuring a smooth transition to business users., | Discovery & Design | Conduct a detailed gap analysis of the existing VIM setup. Review current itemmatch logic, exception handling, background jobs, and user determination. Propose configuration enhancements (e.g., robust itemmatch rules, custom exceptions, automated background jobs). | | Configuration Planning | Create a stepbystep configuration plan aligned with the agreed implementation date. Coordinate directly with the client’s project lead and implementation partner to synchronize build activities in both the current and upgraded S/4 systems. | | Build & Test | Perform configuration following the standard dev quality production transport path. Develop, execute, and document System Integration Testing (SIT) scripts. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) troubleshoot issues, refine configurations, and obtain signoff. | | Documentation | Capture all configuration settings, custom logic, and exception rules on clientprovided templates. Produce a comprehensive asbuilt document package for future support teams. | | Deployment & PostGoLive | Plan and execute production deployment activities (cutover, data migration, validation). Deliver a 2week hypercare period to address immediate postgolive issues. Additional Desired Experience

• Prior work on OpenText VIM projects for manufacturing or chemical industries (preferred).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration projects (parallel upgrade scenarios).

• Familiarity with SAP ChangeRequest Management (ChaRM) or similar governance tools.,	Education	Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  	Certifications	SAP Certified Application Associate SAP S/4HANA for Financial Accounting (optional but advantageous).
  OpenText VIM certification (highly desirable).
  	Experience	58years of combined functional and technical experience with SAP S/4HANA and OpenText VIM.
  Minimum 2successful VIM reconfiguration projects delivering measurable automation improvements.
  	Language	Businesslevel English (written & spoken). Additional language(s) a plus for multinational clients.

• Fee Structure: Competitive market rate commensurate with experience; detailed breakdown to be provided in the proposal.
• Resource Requirements: One senior consultant (the incumbent) plus optional junior support as needed (to be scoped).
