HA Mainframe Developer - Connex

Immediate need for a talented HA Mainframe Developer - Connex. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in U.S(Remote). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested., * Design, develop, enhance, and maintain high-availability (HA) mainframe applications supporting ATM/POS transaction processing.

• Work on Connex-based payment processing applications, including transaction routing, authorization, and related ATM/POS functionality.
• Develop and maintain mainframe programs using COBOL and Assembler.
• Support online transaction processing applications using CICS.
• Work with DB2 databases, including SQL queries, data access, and performance optimization.
• Support and maintain banking applications built on the Systematics platform.
• Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in application testing, debugging, code reviews, and production deployments.
• Ensure application availability, reliability, performance, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and other developers to deliver reliable banking solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Connex for ATM/POS payment processing - mandatory.
• Experience with the Systematics banking platform.
• Strong development experience in COBOL and Assembler.
• Experience with CICS for online transaction processing.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 and SQL.
• Experience supporting high-availability mainframe applications.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or payment processing environments.
• The ideal candidate is a hands-on mainframe developer with strong COBOL, Assembler, and CICS skills, experience supporting production applications, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience in banking or financial services and familiarity with FIS Systematics or Connex will be an added advantage have
• Note: The client has identified the technical skills and responsibilities above as required, while FIS Systematics, Connex, JCL, DB2, Agile/Scrum, and core banking experience are preferred.

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
