AI Engineer -RAG Platform

Continuous RAG Model Improvement:

• Enhance retrieval performance, answer quality, and user experience through experimentation and optimization.
• Evaluation & Measurement Development:
• Build automated frameworks to evaluate RAG quality, detect regressions, and generate actionable insights.
• Production Implementation:
• Convert data analysis and experimental findings into scalable engineering solutions that deliver business value.
• Collaboration:
• Work within a team of experienced engineers to build and operate critical AI capabilities for Rabobank.
• Ownership & Results-Driven:
• Take responsibility for delivering measurable outcomes, not just activities.
• Problem Solving:
• Tackle complex challenges using curiosity, analytical thinking, and a passion for system improvement.

Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLMs)

• Proficiency in Python and Databricks
• Knowledge of evaluation frameworks for GenAI systems
• Experience with embedding models, prompt optimization, data pipelines, workflow automation, CI/CD, and Azure, Experience in fine-tuning language models, ranking/retrieval systems, AI observability, large-scale AI platforms, and synthetic evaluation datasets, Master’s degree or equivalent in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in machine learning, applied AI, or data science
• Demonstrated experience with production RAG systems or advanced retrieval-based AI solutions
• Proven ability to design evaluation methodologies and metrics
• Track record of automating analyses into production solutions
• Experience with large datasets and distributed environments
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficient in English (written and spoken)
