Job description

This is a Manchester, UK Hybrid based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on identifying product problems, defining success metrics, preparing data, running analysis and delivering insight., We’re looking for an experienced, commercially aware Product Data Analyst to join us as a Data Analytics Consultant and contribute independently from day one. This is a hands-on analytical role, not a dashboard or data engineering role.

You’ll work with Product, Engineering, Design and senior management to turn data into decisions, designing experiments and influencing how we build.

What you’ll own

  • End-to-end analytics - identifying product problems, defining success metrics, preparing data, running analysis and delivering insight
  • Experimentation - designing A/B tests and randomisation, analysing results and making clear recommendations
  • Data at scale - manipulating large datasets with advanced SQL, Python and PySpark
  • Commercial storytelling - connecting findings to product and business outcomes
  • Stakeholder influence - working independently and communicating clearly with senior stakeholders

Requirements

Critical

  • Advanced SQL - strong hands-on analytical capability
  • Python and PySpark - practical experience analysing datasets
  • Product analytics - driving analytics from ideation through delivery
  • Experimentation - A/B testing, randomisation and interpreting outcomes
  • Stakeholder management - working with Product, Engineering, Design and senior management
  • Commercial awareness - connecting analysis to product and business decisions

High

  • Tableau - reporting, visualisation and data storytelling
  • Technology industry - experience in technology-led environments

Advantage

  • Travel industry - particularly relevant to the client’s Rides business
  • Snowflake - experience with the platform

Desirable

  • AI tools - exposure to Codex or similar AI-assisted tools

Bonus

  • dbt and Flow - familiarity with data engineering workflows

About you

You’ll operate with minimal supervision and take ownership of the full analytical process, bringing commercial judgement, not just technical output. Manchester-based candidates will be prioritised, though strong candidates elsewhere may be considered.
