Job Summary (List Format): Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Python, React, AWS)

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable full stack enterprise applications.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs for functions such as pricing, transaction management, and reporting.
• Build responsive web applications and internal tools using React and JavaScript.
• Create backend services and automation using Python.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases for data modeling, querying, and optimization.
• Integrate data from external sources (REST APIs, EDI, XML, CSV, etc.).
• Develop and maintain web scraping and data acquisition solutions as needed.
• Containerize and deploy applications using Docker (and preferably Kubernetes).
• Deploy and support applications in AWS or GCP cloud environments.
• Implement application monitoring, alerting, and logging for operational support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across application, database, integration, and infrastructure layers.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning, backups, system upgrades, and business continuity.
• Modernize or integrate legacy technology platforms as business needs evolve.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, database, infrastructure, data, and business).
• Adhere to software engineering best practices: Git, code reviews, testing, documentation, security, and release management.
• Participate in production support and drive continuous improvement in application performance and stability.

Python Programming/Scripting Language, Testing, Enterprise Applications, Application Programming Interface (API), Transaction Processing/Management, REST (Representational State Transfer), Pricing, Internet Application, React.js, Automation, 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong full stack development skills with hands-on experience in Python and JavaScript.
• Proficiency in building modern web applications using React.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Skilled in PostgreSQL within application development.
• Experience with Docker and containerization.
• Cloud deployment/support experience (AWS or GCP).
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of high-volume transaction processing and system design.
• Proficient with Git and modern development workflows.
• Effective at troubleshooting across the technology stack.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Kubernetes, GraphQL, and SQL Server experience.
• Experience building/maintaining web scrapers.
• Handling EDI, XML, and CSV data formats.
• Application monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Datadog).
• Scripting and infrastructure automation skills.
• Experience with disaster recovery and legacy application modernization.
• Industry experience in energy, utilities, or commodity trading.
• Understanding of business functions like pricing, billing, supply, sales, risk, and reporting., Hands-on, adaptable, and experienced across the full stack (front-end, back-end, cloud).
• Comfortable owning solutions through the full software development lifecycle.
• Proactive in troubleshooting, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborative and effective in cross-functional team environments.
