Administer and support IBM mainframe storage infrastructure in a 24x7 enterprise environment. Manage and maintain DASD storage using Hitachi Disk Storage HDSVSP and related storage subsystems. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Virtual Tape Systems VTSVTL and physical tape environments.

Strong knowledge of IBM zOS Storage Management. Handson experience with Hitachi Disk Storage (HDSVSP, USP, VSP G Series). Experience administering IBM Virtual Tape System (VTS) or Virtual Tape Library (VTL).

Nice to have skills

Strong understanding of DFSMS, SMS, Client routines, and Storage Groups. Experience with DASD management, allocation, migration, and performance tuning.
