GA DOR - Applications Developer 1

Configure, maintain, and support the FASTDS-VS® Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) application, including six modules and additional subsystems.

• Gather and analyze business and application requirements.
• Configure application settings and maintain reference tables.
• Set up user accounts and manage access permissions.
• Develop application enhancements for change requests.
• Write and maintain scripts.
• Debug software and resolve application issues.
• Manage source code using source control tools.
• Test application configurations, enhancements, and fixes.
• Prepare implementation specifications and supporting documentation.
• Provide production application support.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree required. Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred. Position Type: Contract

Must Have Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with SQL databases.
• Minimum of 2 years of object-oriented development experience using technologies such as .NET, Java, C#, or VB.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of traditional and Agile software development methodologies.
• Understanding of software development standards and coding best practices.
• Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with web services.
• Familiarity with APIs.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Knowledge of SQL stored procedures.
