Junior Software Engineer

We’re working with a growing energy technology company in Barcelona looking to add a Software Developer to its team.

This is an opportunity for a developer with 2-4 years of professional experience who wants to apply their software skills within the energy sector, with exposure to areas such as battery storage, solar and energy markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software across a technology stack including Python, Rust, React and TypeScript.
• Contribute to both backend and frontend development.
• Work with PostgreSQL for application data and database requirements.
• Support the development and integration of APIs and data pipelines.
• Use Docker, Git and Make within the development environment.
• Collaborate with the wider team to develop and improve software solutions for the energy sector.

What we’re looking for

• 2-4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Python and/or Rust.
• Exposure to React and TypeScript.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL.
• Solid foundations in Docker, Git and Make.
• Experience with APIs and data pipelines would be advantageous.
• Previous exposure to BESS, solar, energy markets or the wider energy sector would be a strong advantage.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Equity options.
• Hybrid working - 60% office / 40% remote.
• Barcelona-based.
