Java Spring Boot / Microservices Developer (Expert Level / FTE / Hybrid)

• Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop shippable application code in short development increments while following established coding and quality standards.
• Design and implement microservices and supporting application components based on technical and business requirements.
• Develop applications according to program specifications and solution-design requirements.
• Define, develop, and execute unit tests and integration tests to validate application functionality and quality.
• Design and develop REST-based services and microservice components for distributed enterprise applications.
• Work with relational and NoSQL database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Develop and support event-driven and messaging-based application integrations using technologies such as Kafka.
• Develop and maintain front-end application components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
• Design and develop applications for cloud and containerized environments using technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and/or OpenShift.
• Apply microservices design principles and make technical decisions related to service decomposition, communication, scalability, and deployment.
• Support applications across distributed technology environments including Unix, Linux, and Windows.
• Participate in customer discussions to understand requirements, provide technical input, and support application delivery.
• Participate in code reviews and implement required follow-up actions to improve application quality and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, database, messaging, and production issues and implement appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, QA teams, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog discussions, development, testing, and delivery.

• Minimum 5+ years of overall experience in software development, enterprise application development, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience designing and developing microservices-based applications.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience developing and executing unit tests and integration tests.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working with relational database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or Oracle.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working with NoSQL database technologies such as MongoDB.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience developing front-end applications using React or comparable JavaScript frameworks.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with cloud-native application design and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and/or OpenShift.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience applying microservices design principles and distributed systems architecture.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience working across Unix, Linux, and/or Windows environments.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience participating in customer discussions, technical solution reviews, code reviews, and application-delivery activities.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience troubleshooting enterprise applications, integrations, databases, messaging systems, and related technical issues.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality., * Experience working within Agile software-development methodologies.
• Experience using Jira for backlog, issue, or delivery tracking.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker and OpenShift.
• Experience developing applications for AWS or other cloud environments.
• Broader experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka-based integrations.

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $75,640.00 - $113,460.00. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.

This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
