1st Line Support Engineer

As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you’ll provide responsive IT support, helping colleagues resolve technical issues and get back to work. You’ll handle requests through the help desk, offer clear guidance and escalate more complex problems to the appropriate team., * Deliver customer-focused technical support for desktop, software and computer hardware issues across Windows and macOS operating systems.

• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office, VPN, network connectivity and access issues; investigate Active Directory accounts and Microsoft Windows Server services.
• Diagnose basic computer networking problems involving LAN, TCP/IP, TCP, DNS and firewall connectivity.
• Log, prioritise and update incidents, following established support processes.
• Your impact: Clear, timely troubleshooting helps colleagues restore access to essential systems and continue their work with less disruption.

• Experience in IT support, desktop support, technical support or a help desk role is useful; customer service and strong communication skills are important.
• Familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, operating systems, software troubleshooting and computer hardware is desirable.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, VPNs, firewalls and networking concepts is welcome.
• Bring sound analysis skills, a methodical approach to diagnosing issues and a willingness to learn unfamiliar tools and systems.
