Job description
We seek an enthusiastic, independent and knowledgeable colleague to expand our team, initially onboarding and contributing to existing projects, with the perspective of becoming a main point of contact in new ones., * Design quantum computers and compare various architectures for fault-tolerant execution of very large circuits on neutral atoms quantum computers, accounting for neutral atom hardware. technological constraints, and updating them with the latest scientific developments of QEC.
- Maintain resource estimates for target applications of quantum computing.
- Optimise fault-tolerant execution of key subroutines of quantum algorithms, balancing contributions from circuit compilation, architectural decisions and hardware considerations.
- Help steer the development of the software stack for efficient execution of encoded circuits.
- Work with academic collaborators to develop new ideas for fault-tolerant circuit execution.
- Prepare publications and contribute to our intellectual property portfolio.
- Present results and innovations in technical discussions internally and in related conferences and outreach events.
- Keep a regular technological watch.
- Have an inventive activity in the scientific and technical fields related to the Company’s research, products, technologies and markets; filing patents.
Requirements
We look for candidates with a PhD in a technical field (primarily Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics), who have been involved in relevant research projects in their academic career (or via industry internships), are good team players with a proactive, autonomous attitude., * Good familiarity with quantum algorithms & quantum information, and a related programming language (e.g. qadence, qiskit, pennylane, cirq)
- Strong code development skills, preferentially in Python (though equivalent languages will be considered)
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Fluency in English
Strong preference will be given to candidates with familiarity (even better know-how proven by publication or code repository records) about one or more among:
- Fault-tolerant algorithms, eventually applied to entire workflows
- Quantum error-correction protocols (inclusive of digital simulation, compilation on any hardware platform, and their resource estimation when deployed protocols)
- Neutral atom architectures
