Job description
Covering the whole of the UK, we work with some of the biggest Transport Operators, Trailer Manufacturers and Supermarkets in the UK, and are looking for a Senior Full Stack Web Developer to join our growing team.
The Basics
- 37.5 hours Monday - Friday
- 25 days holiday per Annum plus Bank holidays
- Home based with attendance at our Runcorn office required for on-boarding, and for up to 2 days every 8 weeks for team building and project planning.
The Integrations Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the technical development of Axscend’s integrations platform, including the systems and services that bring data from third-party hardware and software into the solution in a standardised, processable format. The role combines technical expertise and team leadership to deliver reliable integrations that meet customer and internal requirements.
The role covers integrations across a range of technologies and partners, including cameras, tachographs, truck, trailer and car telematics units, third-party APIs and emerging solutions. Your responsibilities include working across programming languages, protocols and technical domains, and designing scalable integrations for a platform handling data from thousands of devices.
You will provide leadership within the department, set the technical direction for the small integrations team, working closely with the Web Systems Manager to deliver integrations that meet internal and external expectations.
AI-assisted development workflows are a core part of how the web team builds software at Axscend. These workflows exist to enhance the quality and reliability of our output, and to make developers’ work more effective - not to replace the need for engineering skill or technical understanding. The developer remains the engineer: responsible for defining requirements, agreeing a plan, supervising implementation, and reviewing every change with the same rigour expected of any other code. The Integrations Team Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and continuously evolving the team’s AI-assisted development workflow, and for ensuring it is followed consistently across the team.
