Data Center Technician

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network, server, and data center infrastructure in live production environments
• Perform rack-and-stack deployments, hardware installations, equipment replacements, and infrastructure upgrades
• Support fiber and copper structured cabling projects
• Troubleshoot Layer 1 connectivity issues and diagnose hardware, cabling, and network-related problems
• Provide Level 2 technical support for servers, network devices, and critical infrastructure systems
• Read and interpret technical diagrams, installation standards, and project documentation
• Ensure all installations meet data center best practices and quality standards
• Travel to customer sites throughout Canada, Texas, Oregon, California, and occasional international locations to support deployments and infrastructure projects

• 1-2+ years of experience in a data center, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure environment
• Hands-on experience with cabling, hardware installation, equipment replacement, and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of structured cabling systems and data center best practices
• Experience troubleshooting Layer 1 connectivity issues
• Ability to diagnose and resolve server, hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues in production environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments, * Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or similar networking certifications
• Experience working with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, or comparable networking technologies
• Experience connecting to network devices via console and performing basic configurations
• Knowledge of Layer 2 switching technologies, VLANs, STP, and port-level troubleshooting
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data center operations

• Travel to projects throughout Texas, Oregon, California, Canada, and select international destinations

$25/hr to $31/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
