Job description

Deliver data engineering solutions that are efficient and scalable and meet the needs of our various stake holders.

Translate requirements into effective and impactful solutions that enable information sharing across the enterprise.

Design and develop using Python, SQL, Azure Platform, Azure Functions and Rest APIs.

Effectively use code repositories, work with IT to get any new required infrastructure setup. Get a deep understanding of Kiewit’s data platform.

Ability to take on technical tasks and research on making processes more efficient.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar discipline.

4-7 years of successful data engineering experience is required.

4-7 years of demonstrated experience using Python, Azure Platform, Azure Functions and Rest API Services.

4-7 years writing ANSI SQL on Microsoft SQL server (both on prem and azure)

Experience with Azure Data Factory and Informatica are preferred

Strong track record of successfully executing complex projects and/or projects involving multiple disciplines.

Experience collaborating with senior managers to understand drivers of success and departmental goals.

Strong customer management skills; ability to manage more than one client.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written)

Proven ability to self-direct work efforts and lead others

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail, * Regular, reliable attendance

  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
