Job description
SAIC is seeking a Software Systems Engineer to support the US Navy in Crane, IN., * Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for defense and electronic warfare systems within the SPIN/MUEU lab environment
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient C++ code following object-oriented design principles and best practices
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including software design documents (SDD), interface control documents (ICD), test plans, procedures and perform code reviews
- Debug and troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues in a lab setting
- Collaborate with systems engineers, hardware engineers, and government customers to define and refine software requirements
- Support software configuration management and version control processes
- Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings (TIMs), and program milestone events
- Ensure compliance with applicable coding standards, safety requirements, and DoD software development guidelines
Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 0 years of experience
- Experience with Embedded Systems, C++ and object-oriented programming
- Interim secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance. SAIC will sponsor the clearance process
