Senior Cloud Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the insurance sector seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join its Technology team. This is an opportunity to work across complex, enterprise-scale Azure, AWS, hybrid and on-premise environments, developing secure, scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure. You’ll have the autonomy to influence technical decisions, lead infrastructure initiatives and drive engineering best practices., Design, implement and optimise enterprise cloud infrastructure. Lead technical projects across cloud and hybrid environments.

Drive automation, efficiency and continuous improvement. Maintain secure, scalable and resilient cloud systems.

Lead complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Produce technical documentation and operational handovers.

Collaborate with technology and security teams. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Extensive senior cloud engineering or enterprise infrastructure experience.

Strong hands-on Microsoft Azure expertise. Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation.

Experience with SIEM, Microsoft SCOM and monitoring tools. Strong cloud architecture, networking, security and IAM knowledge.

Hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure experience. Excellent troubleshooting and technical leadership skills. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

AWS experience. Hyperconverged infrastructure knowledge.

Azure or AWS certifications.
