Requirements

Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Digital Hardware Design Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will support the development of secure, mission-critical hardware used in tactical and defense communication systems. To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience). U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work., * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field required

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Clearance Requirements:

  • Secret clearance obtainable
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Knowledge Skills And Abilities:

  • Digital schematic capture and PCB/PWB layout experience
  • Experience with high-speed digital design and memory interfaces
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
  • Experience with Siemens Xpedition or similar EDA tools
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycle (DFM/DFT)
  • Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity analysis
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers is a plus

  • Perform schematic capture and PCB/PWB layout for digital subsystems
  • Work with ARM processors, microcontrollers, and high-speed memory interfaces (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4)
  • Design and integrate digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and SDIO
  • Support hardware bring-up, debug, and verification using laboratory test equipment
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and test engineering teams
  • Support the full product lifecycle including design for manufacturing and design for test
