Job description

  • Salesforce platform ownership, remediation and day to day support: around 85%
  • DealHub quoting administration: around 10%
  • HubSpot maintenance and support: under 5%

You will be the only internal Salesforce specialist, with an external Salesforce partner available for deep technical work. That means you need the judgement to know what to build yourself, what to hand out, and how to hold a supplier to a standard.

This role suits someone who enjoys improving systems, asks clarifying questions before building, and is as comfortable explaining a report to a sales manager as they are rebuilding a broken flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Salesforce platform ownership: Full administrative ownership of the Salesforce org. Users, permission sets, profiles and roles, objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, flows and routine maintenance, managed through sandbox with proper testing before release.
  • Automation remediation: Assess the automation that exists today, rationalise it, and rebuild what is not fit for purpose. Declarative by default, code only where genuinely warranted, everything documented and supportable by someone other than you.
  • Support and request management: Act as first line support for the revenue teams. Triage and prioritise the request queue, resolve to agreed timescales, and fix the cause behind repeat requests rather than the symptom.
  • Quoting and deal desk: Administer DealHub so quote templates, playbooks, the product and pricing catalogue and approval workflows reflect our commercial guardrails. Maintain the DealHub to Salesforce mapping and support the sales team through quote build issues.
  • Data quality and reporting: Regular audits, de duplication and health checks, plus reports and dashboards covering pipeline, funnel conversion, renewals and forecasting inputs. Understand the question behind the request and offer a view, not just the numbers.
  • Integrations: Maintain the Salesforce to HubSpot sync and support Marketing’s use of the platform.
  • External delivery: Own the relationship with our external Salesforce partner. Write clear requirements, challenge proposed designs, test and accept delivered work, and make sure it is documented and maintainable in house.
  • Documentation and enablement: Keep system and process documentation current, produce simple guides, run drop in sessions, and promote good data habits across the business.

In your first six months we would expect the org properly documented, a prioritised remediation plan agreed with the highest risk items delivered, the support queue running to a predictable and visible standard, and DealHub quoting configuration aligned to current commercial guardrails.

Requirements

  • Five or more years administering Salesforce in a B2B environment, preferably SaaS focussed, including experience as the sole or lead administrator of an org
  • Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Demonstrable experience rebuilding or remediating inherited automation, including flows, with Apex capability through Platform Developer I or equivalent practical experience
  • Comfortable owning a live support queue and making prioritisation calls under pressure
  • Confidence building reports and dashboards, with the ability to ask clarifying questions, understand the use case, and provide insights rather than just numbers
  • Experience briefing, reviewing and accepting work from an external consultant, partner or agency
  • Care for data quality and detail with a friendly problem solving approach
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English, and experience working remotely as part of a distributed team

Desirable Skills

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
  • Experience administering a CPQ or quoting platform such as DealHub, Salesforce CPQ, PandaDoc or Conga
  • HubSpot administration experience
  • Experience with integrations and connectors such as native sync, middleware or APIs
  • Exposure to Customer Success processes and renewal forecasting
  • Knowledge or experience working with Asana or similar project management tools
