Job description

  • Translation Services: Our Translation and Localization Business Unit specializes in delivering accurate and culturally nuanced translations across various industries. Whether it’s legal documents, marketing materials, or technical manuals, we ensure precision and clarity in every translation project.
  • Interpreting Services: Our Interpreting Business Unit excels in providing on-demand interpreting solutions for conferences, meetings, and events of all scales for large public and private organizations. Our project management department handles an average of more than 700 interpreting services per day provided around the world.
  • Intellectual Property: Seprotec’ s Intellectual Property Business Unit offers a comprehensive range of professional IP solutions to corporations and law firms that streamline IP operations, assisting clients with every patent or trademark issue, in any jurisdiction and any language and on a proprietary platform.

We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join our team in Spain as a Senior IT Architect.

What you will do:

You combine strategic architecture responsibilities with hands-on technical involvement, taking an active role in the design, implementation and delivery of critical infrastructure initiatives.

Architecture and strategy

  • Define the target IT architecture and roadmap together with the CIO, and drive key technology and build-vs-buy decisions.
  • Ensure architectural alignment and seamless integration across infrastructure, enterprise applications, cloud services and technology platforms, working closely with the respective platform and solution owners.
  • Lead the integration and modernization of infrastructure across our European offices into a unified, secure and scalable environment.
  • Establish architecture standards, blueprints and documentation that internal teams and external partners build against.

AI platform infrastructure

  • Design the infrastructure for our AI and LLM workloads across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments, balancing performance, data residency and cost.
  • Partner with the AI platform and development teams on environments, deployment pipelines, scalability and secure integration of AI services.

Security and compliance by design

  • Embed security, identity and data protection into every design, in line with ISO 27001, TISAX and GDPR.
  • Support Information Security with technical controls, audits and client security requirements.

Hands-on delivery

  • Lead infrastructure projects end to end: migrations, upgrades and new implementations, including timelines, dependencies and stakeholder communication.
  • Implement and configure critical infrastructure components and provide expert-level technical support for complex architectural or infrastructure-related challenges.
  • Review designs, unblock teams and hand over solutions to IT Operations with runbooks and documentation.

Interface and partner management

  • Act as technical counterpart for business teams and translate their requirements into practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Steer external service providers on architecture, quality and SLAs, and support vendor selection, licensing and infrastructure budget planning.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in IT infrastructure and systems engineering, with at least 2 years in an architecture or technical lead role.
  • A track record of delivering infrastructure projects end to end, ideally consolidations or migrations across several sites or countries.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in hybrid environments: Microsoft 365 and Azure, Windows Server, virtualization (e.g. VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V), networking, firewalls and VPNs.
  • Strong knowledge of identity and security (e.g. Entra ID, conditional access, zero trust) and experience working within ISO 27001 or comparable frameworks.
  • Practical experience with scripting and infrastructure automation, combined with an understanding of infrastructure as code, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
  • Understanding of software and solution architecture, so you can work as a peer with development teams.
  • Experience with, or strong interest in, infrastructure for AI/ML and LLM workloads.
  • Experience working with external service providers and contributing to budgets and vendor decisions.
  • Pragmatic, hands-on mindset combined with the ability to think several years ahead.
  • Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders; very good English (C1) and Spanish.

Benefits & conditions

  • Real influence: you shape the target architecture and the AI platform infrastructure of a growing language-technology company.
  • A rare mix of state-of-the-art language technology, MT and AI with demanding information security and data protection requirements.
  • Diverse, impactful projects across our European offices, from strategy to implementation.
  • A collaborative Technology team with short decision paths and direct access to the Executive Committee team.
