Job description

We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our Tax Technology & Transformation team at PwC UK, either permanently or on a 12-month secondment. This is an experienced, hands-on role with day-to-day responsibility for complex tax transformation programmes spanning tax, technology and business change. You will work with some of our largest clients, take ownership of delivery and help turn ambitious transformation plans into measurable outcomes.

What your days will look like:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of large-scale tax transformation and ERP implementation programmes, including SAP, Oracle and Workday, across multiple workstreams.

  • Own programme plans, budgets, governance, risks and dependencies, maintaining quality and alignment with client objectives and PwC standards.

  • Work with SMEs to design and deliver technology-enabled processes across direct tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and customs duties.

  • Build trusted client relationships, acting as a key day-to-day contact and communicating progress, issues and decisions clearly.

  • Bring together colleagues from across tax, consulting and technology, while supporting the development of junior team members through coaching and feedback.

Requirements

We welcome applications from colleagues with backgrounds in consulting, technology, tax or finance. You do not need to match every point below; we are interested in the perspective and transferable skills you would bring, alongside your ability to take ownership and work with a high degree of autonomy.

  • You have experience delivering complex, multi-workstream transformation programmes and can balance pace, quality and commercial outcomes.

  • You build credibility with senior stakeholders and can influence across internal and client teams.

  • You bring strong planning and organisational skills, including experience managing budgets, dependencies and delivery risk.

  • You can translate complex requirements into clear, practical process designs and delivery plans.

  • You are comfortable working across jurisdictions and with multidisciplinary, international teams.

  • You communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences and bring a collaborative, inclusive leadership style.

  • You are curious about innovation, emerging technology and the changing regulatory landscape, and can apply that thinking to client delivery.
