Job description

Technology powers every part of Aviva. From the systems our colleagues use every day to the digital experiences our customers rely on, great technology helps us solve problems, deliver better outcomes and drive innovation.

Our Technology Software Development pathway is all about building, improving and supporting the technology that keeps Aviva moving. Whether you’re developing software, enabling cloud platforms and infrastructure, or providing technology support for key events and senior leaders, you’ll help create seamless experiences for customers and colleagues alike.

You’ll work on real challenges, develop valuable technical and professional skills, and gain hands-on experience in an area that’s constantly evolving. If you enjoy solving problems, thinking logically and are curious about how technology works, this could be the perfect fit.

Whatever path you choose, you’ll work on live projects, learn from experienced colleagues and help deliver even better experiences for millions of customers.

“The best part of working at Aviva is the inclusive and supportive culture. I’ve built great relationships with my team, and I love the community spirit here, with plenty of chances to get involved in volunteering and social events. I also appreciate that Aviva encourages constant learning and development, which keeps my work interesting and fulfilling.”Former Graduate

The roles Our Technology Software Development roles are based in Bristol and York. You may need to be flexible on location and willing to relocate if needed. We believe some of the best collaboration, learning, and relationship building happens when people come together in-person. If you enjoy problem-solving, innovation and bringing ideas to life through technology, this could be the role for you.

DevOps Engineer (Bristol): you’ll help build and maintain the technology platforms that power digital services, data and AI across Aviva. Working with cloud technologies, infrastructure and automation tools, you’ll create secure, reliable and scalable environments that enable teams to develop and deliver innovative solutions. From improving system performance and automating processes to supporting new technologies and ways of working, you’ll play a key role in helping our customers and colleagues get the most from technology. If you enjoy solving problems, learning new technologies and driving continuous improvement, this could be the role for you.
