AI Data Partnerships Lead (Founding GTM Hire), SF

As our first GTM hire, you will report directly to the founder and build trusted relationships with AI lab leaders in San Francisco. Your focus is opening doors, qualifying opportunities, and scoping pilots, not closing deals, to help us deliver real-world multimodal data to frontier AI models.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and own relationships with research, data, and partnerships leaders at AI labs and robotics companies

• Create and qualify a focused pipeline, prioritizing opportunities with the highest strategic fit

• Scope pilots with internal research and data teams to match each lab’s specific needs

• Represent the company in person at events, meetings, and across the San Francisco AI community

• Feed customer insights back into product and data strategy

8+ years of experience in partnerships or business development at a data company, AI lab, or related organization

• Proven ability to turn relationships with AI lab leaders into real business outcomes

• Prior sales or revenue experience

• Strong customer judgment, clear communication, and reliable follow-through

• Comfortable representing an early-stage company in person in San Francisco

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience at or close ties to large AI data companies like Scale AI, Labelbox, or Appen

• Product experience at an AI lab or robotics company

• Familiarity with robotics, embodied AI, or multimodal data

Base salary: $170,000 to $230,000 per year

• Variable compensation: 25% to 50% of base, tied to pilots and contracts

• Equity: 0.5% to 1.25% (higher for a true founding Head of GTM profile)
