Computer/Network & Systems Technician

• Installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading computers, networks, servers, printers, and peripheral equipment;
• Installing and maintaining network wiring and fiber optic cables;
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues;
• Coordinating with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot network circuits, routers, and third-party applications;
• Testing new operating systems and software for compatibility with existing systems;
• Providing technical support and training to staff on software applications and equipment;
• Performing routine hardware maintenance and repairs;
• Collaborating with other providers to install, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems;
• Maintaining computer inventory and equipment records;
• Attending technical training and seminars to stay current with technology trends.

A. Graduation from a New York State or regionally accredited college or university with an Associate’s Degree in management information systems, computer science, information resources management, information technology, or a closely related field and two (2) years of full-time, paid experience in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer systems and networks; OR:

B. Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of full-time, paid experience in the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of computer systems and networks., * Computer networking: 2 years (Preferred)

• Software troubleshooting: 2 years (Preferred)

Starting Salary: $60,000-75,000 based on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday; 35 hours/week, * Dental insurance
