Job description

  • Developing and integrating advanced AI/ML capabilities to automate data extraction, correlation, and model population for Battlespace C2 Blue and Red prototypes
  • Employing AI/ML tools at Secret and TS/SCI classification levels to analyze doctrinal references, exercise reports, chat logs, and Fleet C2 system outputs to build cross-theater operational models
  • Automating ingestion of legacy government-developed C2 models and generate integrated models with traceability to authoritative sources, enabling Human-on-the-Loop verification by government analysts
  • Implementing high-side AI/ML capabilities to support threat monitoring, automatic data crawling, and alerting for Red threat intelligence from multiple IC sources
  • Supporting development of a common threat database and assist with creating user-facing interfaces (“dashboards”) including geospatial visualization and automated triggers/alerts
  • Assisting with generating Red threat injects for LVC, experimentation events, and Battlespace C2 assessments
  • Configuring and operating VMware and other virtualized test environments supporting AI/ML model development, integration, and regression testing
  • Integrating new AI-driven capability enhancements into engineering systems while ensuring compatibility with existing data sources, C2 tools, and C5ISR interfaces
  • Executing Nessus/ACAS scans during integration activities, analyzing vulnerabilities, supporting remediation, and validating closure
  • Maintaining secure software baselines, applying patches, and implementing configuration updates aligned with RMF and ATO requirements
  • Developing, updating, and maintaining STPs, test procedures, test reports, build plans, version descriptions, baseline comparison matrices, and related documentation
  • Reproducing, documenting, and tracking defects across integration activities, providing detailed reproduction steps and logs, and verifying fixes during regression cycles
  • Collaborating with software developers, systems engineers, and threat analysts to verify algorithmic outputs, model fidelity, and data accuracy
  • Supporting configuration management processes ensuring all artifacts, software loads, and integration outputs remain accurately tracked within CMPro and other repositories

Requirements

  • Must possess an active CompTIA Security+ certification or obtain the credential within the first six months of employment
  • At least five years of IT professional experience supporting hybrid software, web, and hardware systems across full lifecycle development, including requirements, design, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and validating complex tactical, intelligence, or C5ISR systems, including:
  • Planning and executing integration/test events (IV&V, FAIT, PAT, FVT, subsystem/system-level testing)
  • Reproducing, documenting, and troubleshooting integration defects
  • Hands-on experience configuring, securing, and maintaining Windows/Linux virtualized environments that emulate operational baselines, including installation of IA-compliant software for development and functional testing
  • Working knowledge of DoD cybersecurity requirements, including DISA STIG application, patching, vulnerability management, and RMF compliance
  • Experience using SCAP, Nessus, and/or ACAS for assessing system configurations against DoD cybersecurity baselines and supporting ATO documentation
  • Experience supporting recurring patch installation cycles, security updates, and baseline maintenance for developmental software systems
  • Experience developing technical documentation such as test plans, test reports, installation procedures, STPs, SBLs, and configuration/user documentation
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools and processes (CMPro, JIRA) for managing software baselines, issues, and change documentation
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate seamlessly with engineering, software, cybersecurity, logistics, and Government stakeholders

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field
  • More than seven years of experience supporting DoD C5ISR, intelligence, or tactical communications programs, ideally with NIWC Atlantic or MCSC
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), natural language processing, automated model generation, or autonomous data extraction tools
  • Familiarity with TAK/WinTAK/ATAK, exploitation tools, and C5ISR integration with Naval/Joint C2/Fires systems
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with sprint planning, integration, and demonstration cycles
  • Prior experience supporting TEMP development, test documentation authorship, and participation in T&E WIPTs and TRBs
  • Experience working on Secret and TS/SCI networks, particularly with AI/ML tools accredited for high-side use
