Automation Developer

Koola Logistics is looking for a hands-on developer who can turn ideas into reliable automations, integrations, and internal tools.

You enjoy building from scratch, learning unfamiliar systems, and finding practical ways to solve business problems. You’re enthusiastic about AI and comfortable using it to help develop software and create useful workflows. You also take responsibility for understanding, testing, and maintaining what you build.

The role

You’ll work with a project manager who sets priorities, guides the desired outcomes, and helps translate business needs into clear technical requirements.

You’ll bring those projects to life: ask questions, propose an approach, build the solution, test it with the people who will use it, and improve it based on feedback.

We want someone who can take initiative within that direction, communicate tradeoffs, and deliver tools our team can depend on in daily work.

What you’ll build

Projects may include:

• Automations that reduce repetitive work and duplicate data entry
• Integrations that connect business systems and move information between them
• Internal applications, forms, dashboards, and reporting tools
• AI-powered workflows that help teams get useful work done
• New tools built from an initial idea through a working, tested solution

You’ll also troubleshoot, document, and maintain the solutions you deliver.

• Hands-on programming ability in Python, JavaScript, or a similar language
• Examples of working tools, applications, integrations, or automations you’ve built
• Familiarity with APIs, databases, and how systems exchange information
• A positive, practical approach to using AI in development and business workflows
• Ability to debug problems, test your work, handle errors, and protect sensitive information
• Clear communication, curiosity, and willingness to accept feedback
• Follow-through: you finish projects and help keep them working after launch

You don’t need to know every platform we use. You should be able to learn, ask good questions, and turn a defined business need into a dependable solution.

Helpful experience

• Automation tools such as n8n, Make, or Zapier
• Web applications and internal business tools
• AI APIs and AI-assisted workflows
• SQL, reporting, or dashboards
• Logistics or another operational business

Location and compensation

Full-time, in-office in Carmel, Indiana.

$60,000+ base salary, depending on experience, plus bonus opportunity tied to performance, execution, and the measurable impact of your work., * 401(k)
