Job description

You’ll be working inside a modern autism treatment center designed specifically for children to learn, play, communicate, and build independence.

Our center includes:

  • Sensory Room
  • Life Skills Room
  • Mock Classroom
  • Social Skills Room
  • Art & Activity Areas
  • Parent Observation Systems
  • Live Camera Systems for Training, Support, and Accountability
  • BCBAs and clinical leadership working directly alongside the team

We’re building a collaborative, data-driven clinical team where staff can actually learn from one another, receive feedback, and grow together.

You won’t just be watching children.

You’ll PLAY, TEACH, COLLECT DATA, BUILD SKILLS, AND HELP CHILDREN GROW.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Work one-on-one with children with autism under BCBA supervision
  • Use play, games, toys, art, sensory activities, and everyday routines to create learning opportunities
  • Implement individualized treatment and behavior-support plans
  • Use positive reinforcement to keep children engaged, comfortable, and motivated
  • Help children build communication, social, play, independence, transition, and daily-living skills
  • Collect and record clinical data
  • Prepare activities and client materials
  • Complete session documentation
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and positive clinical environment

Requirements

We care just as much about your energy, reliability, and willingness to learn as we do about your previous job title.

You may be a great fit if you have experience in:

  • Childcare or daycare
  • Camps or recreation programs
  • Nannying
  • Teaching or teacher-assistant work
  • Paraprofessional or special-education settings
  • Psychology or child-development programs
  • Behavioral health
  • Autism services
  • ABA or Behavior Technician work

Experience is helpful, but previous ABA experience is not required for the right candidate.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, playful, energetic, and comfortable being active with children
  • Dependable and professional
  • Coachable and open to feedback
  • Patient and compassionate
  • Comfortable collecting data and learning clinical procedures
  • Excited to work as part of a team
  • Interested in learning why behavior happens, not simply reacting to it

Benefits & conditions

$17.00-$22.50/hour

Eligible team members can also receive support with the RBT board exam as they progress through the certification pathway.

Interested in behavior analysis long-term?

SOS has university partnerships, tuition-discount opportunities, practicum support, BCBA mentorship, and pathways for team members who want to continue their education and grow within the field.

This position can be the beginning of a much larger clinical career., $17.00-$22.50 per hour

Compensation is based on experience, training, credentials, clinical skill development, reliability, performance, and level of responsibility.

Additional growth opportunities may become available as team members complete training, earn credentials, develop specialized skills, and take on advanced responsibilities.

BENEFITS & GROWTH

For eligible employees:

  • Up to 80 hours of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually for eligible full-time employees
  • NJ Earned Sick Leave
  • Paid company holidays for eligible full-time employees

WHY JOIN NOW?

Because you’re not joining an established team where every role has already been filled.

You’re joining while we’re growing.

The people who come in now have an opportunity to learn the center, develop alongside the clinical team, build real experience, and potentially grow into specialized and leadership roles as SOS Hamilton continues to expand.

We want to build a team of people who are excited to come to work, take clinical quality seriously, support one another, and make therapy fun and meaningful for children.

If that sounds like you, apply.

We’d love to show you the center, learn about your goals, and see if SOS Hamilton could be the beginning of your next chapter.
