Cloud Engineer

• Develop software platforms and frameworks, including platform automation and defining the process and cadence of upgrades and changes
• Maintain services, monitor system health, and continually look for improvements
• Scale systems sustainably using continuous deployment and automation
• Research and implement best design principles to improve reliability and velocity
• Work in an agile environment and engage in practices such as XP and test-driven development
• Work with technical staff to understand and resolve software problems
• Resolve customer complaints and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements
• Collaborate with other engineers, developers, designers, and product owners
• Assist product teams with problem resolutions and routine maintenance tasks
• Review health check alerts and escalate as necessary
• Assist with updates and patching
• Perform basic script writing to assist with platform automation

Requirements - education & experience

• Associate Degree or 1 year of equivalent work-related experience in cloud engineering or server administrator role, * Scripting (Python preferred)
• AWS and Terraform experience
• Cloud platforms experience, including AWS networking, infrastructure management, automation, GoLang programming, and Cyber Security best practices
