- Map ERP tables and business objects (GL, AP, AR, inventory, orders) to target data models, and document source-to-target logic.
- Monitor pipeline runs, troubleshoot failures and tune performance and capacity cost.
Data modeling and BI enablement
- Organize data in the Fabric lakehouse and warehouse using a medallion (bronze, silver, gold) structure.

- Write and optimize SQL, and use Python or PySpark for transformation where needed.
Data quality and governance
- Implement validation, reconciliation and completeness checks between ERP sources and reporting outputs.
- Apply security, access controls and data classification using Microsoft Purview and Fabric workspace roles.
- Support audit and SOX requirements with documented, controlled data flows.
AI and automation
- Use AI tools (Copilot in Fabric and Power BI, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, GitHub Copilot) to speed up pipeline development, documentation and analysis.
- Prepare clean, well-governed data sets for AI and machine learning use cases.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual data processes.
Collaboration
- Gather requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical designs.
- Work with ERP administrators, IT and analytics teams on system changes, releases and upgrades.
- Maintain clear documentation and contribute to data standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in data integration, data engineering or BI development.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL or Synapse).
- Experience ingesting and modeling data from at least one major ERP system, with a working knowledge of finance and operations data (GL, AP, AR, inventory, orders).
- Working experience with Microsoft Fabric (lakehouse, warehouse, pipelines or Dataflows Gen2).
- Strong SQL skills and experience building data models for reporting.
- Experience with Power BI or a comparable BI tool (Tableau, Qlik), including semantic models and DAX.
- Practical use of AI tools to support development, analysis or documentation., * Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), Fabric Data Engineer Associate (DP-700), Azure Data Engineer, or Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300).
- Experience with Python or PySpark in notebooks.
- Familiarity with ERP integration tools and APIs (OData, REST, Dataverse, SAP connectors).
- Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services or building AI-ready data sets.
- Exposure to Microsoft Purview, data governance or master data management.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD for data pipelines.
