Telecom Project Manager

Wavsys is seeking an experienced, results-driven Project Manager (PM) based in the Northeast (EST) to lead day-to-day execution for active and upcoming wireless deployment projects across our Eastern markets. In this customer-facing role, you will serve as a key point of contact for market leads while driving internal teams, field crews, and subcontractors to hit aggressive project schedules and financial KPIs., Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

• Attending weekly alignment sessions, site reviews, and project status calls in EST.
• Build trust and maintain strong customer relations through transparent communication, proactive issue resolution, and reliable execution.
• Manage client expectations regarding schedule commitments, site access, scope adjustments, and milestone delivery.

Project Operations & Execution

• Oversee site-level execution across active scopes, including Baseband Upgrades, Cabinet Consolidations, C&I, site modifications, and 5G upgrades.
• Drive internal project teams, Field Managers, and subcontractors to maintain schedule discipline and meet strict daily/weekly project KPIs.
• Monitor site lifecycles end-to-end-from initial scope verification and field execution through to logical integration and final Closeout Package (COP) approval.
• Identify field blockers, technical escalations, or site access issues early, implementing immediate corrective actions to prevent schedule slippage.

Data Tracking, Reporting & Systems

• Maintain data hygiene across project trackers, ensuring real-time synchronization between internal Wavsys tools and carrier databases/portals.
• Develop, publish, and present regular status dashboards, run-rate reports, and risk logs for both Wavsys leadership and stakeholders.
• Audit project milestone completions to ensure accurate, first-time-right reporting.

Financial & Budgetary Control

• Manage site-level budgets, tracking actual project expenditures against baseline forecasts to protect margins.
• Oversee purchase order (PO) issuance, subcontractor billing, change orders, and client invoicing milestone sign-offs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage financial risk across active site pipelines.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Commissioning & Integration (C&I) and cell site development (rather than general civil-only construction), possesses deep technical understanding of cell site operations, and brings exceptional communication skills to balance professional poise, likability, and client alignment within the Eastern Standard Time Zone., * Experience: 3-5+ years of Project Management experience in wireless/telecommunications, with a proven track record supporting Commissioning & Integration (C&I), field engineering, and cell site development.

• Carrier Expertise: Direct experience managing major carrier market projects, with deep knowledge of standards, MOPs, deployment workflows, and COP requirements.
• Technical Depth: Solid understanding of cell site architecture, baseband hardware, radio access networks (RAN), and field-level execution beyond general civil construction.
• Location & Time Zone: Must be located in the Northeast region and operating strictly in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
• Client & Communication Savvy: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage carrier customer relationships with professional poise, clarity, and accountability.
• Tools & Analytics: High proficiency in Excel/SmartSheets, project management tracking platforms, and carrier-specific software/databases.
• Financial Management: Demonstrated experience with project budgeting, PO management, site-level forecasting, and financial change orders.
• Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience.
• Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship. Valid Driver’s License required.
