Our work depends on the Systems Engineer, Senior, joining our team to manage and monitor all installed Information Technology Systems and infrastructure, as well as install, configure, test and perform routine maintenance on operating systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Performs administrative operation and maintenance functions of server hardware and software. Maintains system security and executes common practices and procedures. Monitors usage statistics and logs. Maintains baseline configurations and performs modification of configuration settingsinstitutes troubleshooting and incident response procedures. Troubleshoots system-related problems. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system. Develop and maintain documentation on new and existing systems. See below some of the other responsbilities and duties for this role.HOW A SYSTEMS ENGINEER SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:Function as the Site Lead for all IT professionals at locationPerform management functions at geographically separated locationHas full technical knowledge of all phases of systems engineeringAnalyzes complex information and independently takes appropriate actions to resolve problemsGuides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plansDevelops technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentationEvaluates, develops, and delivers technical input to the systems engineering processValidates the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibilityExcellent communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow throughDetail oriented and organized and must be able to identify and resolve problems or inadequacies of systems engineeringExperience identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problemsand must be able to design and deliver solutionsExperience with configuration and deployment technologies such as AnsibleWHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: BA/BS in Information Technology related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.Required Experience: 10+

years of related experienceExperience with RedHat Linux based server operating systems, and OpenShift technologyExperience with Windows based server operating systems, SQL, SCCM, and Active DirectoryExperience with configuration and deployment technologies such as AnsibleExperience with SANs, NetApp preferred Certification Requirements: DoD 8570.01 certification required CompTIA Security+ CE cert. or higherSECURITY CLEARANCE: Must have fully adjudicated TS/SCI clearance (Required)LOCATION: Must be able to work on the customer Site in Tampa FL.
