Job description

We’re looking for a Platform/UI Developer who builds the tools our annotation and QA teams use every day. You’ll work across backend, web, and design to ship annotation interfaces, quality dashboards, and workflow tooling. Your background in QA or data annotation means you understand the people using these tools and the data quality problems they solve.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain web-based annotation, labeling, and review tools
  • Develop backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support annotation workflows
  • Turn annotator and QA feedback into UI/UX improvements that raise speed and accuracy
  • Build dashboards and quality scorecards that surface throughput, accuracy, and error trends
  • Partner with annotation leads to scope new projects, pilots, and tooling needs, then launch and troubleshoot them
  • Write and run tests to keep platform features reliable and catch regressions
  • Document tools, workflows, and guidelines for annotators and internal teams

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in software development, data annotation, data quality, quality assurance, or AI data operations
  • Experience with backend development (APIs, databases, services)
  • Design experience (UI/UX, wireframing, or prototyping tools such as Figma)
  • Experience starting and troubleshooting new annotation projects (concepts, pilot studies, guidelines, tooling needs, and launching)
  • Experience building web UIs in React and TypeScript, ideally data-heavy tools like review queues, tables or video players.
  • Comfortable building and shipping with AI coding agents like Claude Code.
  • Experience in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Experience working with annotation, labeling, moderation, or QA platforms
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify patterns within large datasets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter who works well in a team, willing to take charge when needed and contribute as part of a group project

Nice to Have

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, AI data operations, or annotation programs
  • Experience supporting AI, machine learning, computer vision, or robotics programs
  • Experience building dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar BI tools
  • Experience in large-scale technology companies or high-volume data operations environments
  • Experience building tools for video, image, 3D, or multimodal datasets
  • Exposure to spatial computing, autonomous systems, or robotics data workflows
  • Experience creating operational metrics, KPIs, and quality scorecards
  • Experience with test automation or CI/CD
  • Experience working with external vendors or annotation teams, * Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

  • UI/UX: 1 year (Required)
  • back end in phython : 1 year (Required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Redwood City, CA 94061
