Database Administrator (DBA)

For our client, we are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise database environments. This individual will be responsible for database performance, availability, backup and recovery, troubleshooting, and supporting application teams with database-related initiatives.

5+ years of experience administering enterprise relational database environments.

Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Expertise in database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance.

Experience with SQL scripting, stored procedures, indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.

Knowledge of SQL Server Always On Availability Groups, clustering, replication, or equivalent technologies.

Experience monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and troubleshooting production issues.

Familiarity with cloud database services such as Azure SQL Database, Amazon RDS, or AWS Aurora.

Understanding of database security, encryption, permissions, and access controls.

Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting tools for database automation preferred.
