Part-Time Support Technician

Job Description: CloudCover has a customer seeking a Part-Time Support Technician for a 6 month 100% onsite position located in Culver City CA. This position would be working every Tuesday and Thursday 8-10 hours per day starting at 8AM with the possibility of extensions. No sponsorships available for this position. Supporting about 70 users internally the ideal candidate is dependable, personable, self-managed, and comfortable being the “go-to” IT person in the office. You should be comfortable walking into an office, assessing what needs to be done, helping employees resolve their issues, and following through without needing constant direction. This is a hands-on support role rather than a highly specialized networking or engineering position. Trust, reliability, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills are especially important. The responsibilities of this position are as follows:

End-User & Desktop Support

• Provide hands-on technical support to employees in the Culver City office.
• Troubleshoot PC hardware, software, connectivity, and general technology issues.
• Respond to employee IT questions and service requests.
• Assist with laptop setup, deployment, provisioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support virtual desktop environments.
• Provide basic troubleshooting for peripherals and other office technology.

Office & Conference Room Support

• Maintain and troubleshoot the office’s two Zoom Rooms / conference room technology.
• Ensure conference room technology is operational and ready for meetings.
• Troubleshoot basic audio, video, display, and connectivity issues.
• Respond to technology issues that arise within the office.

User Administration & IT Operations

• Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
• Support account and equipment setup and retrieval.
• Coordinate basic device preparation and deployment.
• Work with remote IT leadership and/or third-party technology providers when issues require escalation.
• Maintain a reliable on-site presence and proactively identify recurring technology issues.

• Previous experience providing hands-on IT support or desktop support in an office environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Highly dependable and trustworthy, particularly when handling company equipment and user access.
• Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of an organization.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and determine when an issue needs to be escalated.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfortable supporting a primarily Windows/PC environment.
• Experience with Zoom Rooms or conference room technology is a plus.
• Experience with virtual desktops is a plus.
