- Assess existing networks and develop migration, consolidation, and technology refresh plans.
- Optimize network performance, capacity, scalability, and security.
- Develop IPv4/IPv6 addressing plans, network diagrams, SOPs, and implementation documentation.
- Troubleshoot complex issues with technical teams and present designs for leadership approval.
- Partner with information assurance teams to meet DoD security and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance or higher; U.S. citizenship required.
- DoD IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or equivalent, before starting.
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or master’s with 6+ years. Additional directly relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience designing and implementing medium-to-large networks, conducting site assessments, and executing migrations or network device refreshes.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/UDP, IPsec, VPNs, proxies, Layer 2/3 switching and routing, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of these vendors: Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Palo Alto, Dell, Brocade, or Fortinet.
- Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Experience
CCNP or equivalent; SD-WAN; VTC solutions; DoD STIG implementation and network hardening; and tools such as Panorama, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime/DNA, Junos Space, WhatsUp Gold, or ScienceLogic SL1.
