Messaging & Collaboration Platform Engineer- Persistent Chat (NC)

• Act as a liaison with Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and vendors to manage the product lifecycle, including fixes, features, and enhancements.
• Own workbook management through Product JIRAs and support backlog grooming and feature release alignment in regular requirements meetings.
• Develop low-level designs that meet bank requirements and security demands for persistent chat applications hosted on Linux.
• Deploy low-level environments and support advanced product testing to ensure readiness for operational transition.
• Ensure non-Strategic Social and Chat products are decommissioned from the enterprise while maintaining accurate, complete technical documentation and hosting training sessions to support new services entering operations., * Work on a mission-critical messaging and collaboration platform that supports enterprise legal hold retention needs.
• Collaborate across Security, Operations, Product, Engineering, Architecture, and vendors to deliver improvements end-to-end.
• Build and refine low-level designs, deployments, and testing approaches that meet security and bank requirements.
• Strengthen your impact through clear technical communication, requirements feasibility input, and training support for operational teams.
• Contribute to decommissioning efforts that help streamline enterprise chat products and reduce operational complexity.

• Experience with persistent chat applications such as Mattermost and/or Rocket.Chat hosted on Linux.
• Enterprise-level engineering experience, preferably within financial institutions.
• Strong documentation discipline and problem-solving skills, with continual ownership of technical documentation accuracy and completeness.
• Proven ability to proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risk, including active participation in reviews of requirements for technical feasibility.
• Experience with cloud-enabled instant messaging platforms (e.g., Symphony, Teams, Slack) and deployment of applications to mobility frameworks including MAM and MDM.
