IT Support Technician

The primary focus of this position will be assisting with low-voltage cabling projects at customer locations. Responsibilities include:

• Assist with installing and routing Cat5e, Cat6, and other low-voltage network cables in commercial buildings.
• Help pull cables through ceilings, walls, attics, and conduit.
• Assist with installing network jacks, wall plates, patch panels, and network racks.
• Learn to terminate, label, and test network cables.
• Assist with installing security cameras, wireless access points, and other network equipment.
• Help organize and secure wiring to maintain clean, professional installations.
• Use basic hand tools, power tools, ladders, and cable-testing equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at customer locations.

Basic IT Support

In addition to cabling work, the technician will assist with basic IT support and equipment installations, including:

• Set up and install desktop computers, monitors, printers, and other office equipment.
• Assist with installing and configuring network switches, routers, and wireless access points.
• Help troubleshoot basic computer, printer, and network connectivity issues.
• Assist with replacing or upgrading computer hardware.
• Help install software and perform basic computer maintenance.
• Support senior technicians during onsite service calls and technology projects., This is a part-time position with hours varying depending on customer projects and service needs. Most work will take place during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, although occasional evening or weekend work may be available.

The ideal candidate will have some flexibility in their schedule and be available to assist with projects as needed.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

Experience in any of the following areas would be beneficial:

• Ethernet or low-voltage cable installation.
• Construction, electrical, telecommunications, or structured cabling.
• Basic computer repair or troubleshooting.
• Networking equipment and Wi-Fi installations.
• Security camera or surveillance system installations.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical training., Please include any experience with computers, networking, construction, electrical work, or cabling, even if it was gained through personal projects or hobbies.
