This role provides the opportunity to support concept development, detailed design, design documentation, and product line enhancement activities that improve product performance, manufacturability, and year-over-year margin across the data center product portfolio.

This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to develop models, drawings, bills of material, and related documentation that support development programs from early concept through product validation and implementation. You will contribute to new and unique design solutions, support prototype and qualification activities, incorporate manufacturing and field feedback into product improvements, and help deliver new products and major enhancements aligned with customer needs and business objectives.

What you will do:

  • Core Job Responsibilities (others may be added):

  • Create and maintain 2D and 3D models, drawings, bills of material, and related design documentation in support of development programs.
  • Work with engineers to generate concept layouts, detailed designs, prototype documentation, and product release documentation.
  • Produce designs and documentation utilizing computer-aided design and product lifecycle management systems.
  • Apply design and drafting standards, methods, and processes to ensure quality and consistency in deliverables.
  • Support engineering changes, design updates, and documentation revisions for new and existing products.
  • Help identify and resolve design issues with sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Support prototype builds, product validation activities, and implementation of product enhancements.
  • Support DFM activities by working with manufacturing engineers to design quality, safety, and assembly efficiency into the design.
  • Support CWT readiness by working with lab engineers to ensure product test-readiness and design for peak product performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, manufacturing, product management, lab, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Support design improvements that enhance product performance, manufacturability, and year-over-year margin improvement.
  • Incorporate manufacturing, production, and field feedback into drawings, models, and documentation updates.
  • Ensure design deliverables are completed with quality, accuracy, and urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in design, drafting, or product documentation support required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-focused, innovative, and quality-minded approach to assigned duties.
