IBM MQ Administrator

Seeking an expert IBM MQ Administrator to join our MQ team and be responsible for managing and maintaining our IBM MQ infrastructure.

• The IBM MQ Administrator will work closely with development teams to ensure the availability and reliability of our messaging infrastructure to support our applications and services

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM MQ servers and associated infrastructure

• Monitor the performance of the IBM MQ servers and associated infrastructure, troubleshoot any issues, and take corrective action to resolve problems

• Implement high availability and Disaster Recovery solutions

• Manage access controls, security configurations, and authentication protocols for IBM MQ servers

• Configure and manage IBM MQ objects.

• Deep understanding of IBM MQ cluster design, operation and maintenance

• Document IBM MQ infrastructure configurations and procedures

At least 6 years’ experience with IBM MQSeries, including MQ clustering.

At least 6 years’ experience using Linux.

At least 2 years’ experience with cloud platforms, ideally AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years’ experience with deployment tooling (Devops tooling, Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, CICD).

At least 2 years’ experience with scripting.

Experience with Kubernetes, containers.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Infrared360, NewRelic, Splunk.

Experience with AI tooling.
