Job description
- Requirements & Solution Engineering: Guide the planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements, architecture dependencies, and system procedures. Apply established requirements engineering methods as the foundation, using AI tools to assist with synthesizing stakeholder input, identifying patterns, and refining system workflows and capabilities.
- Team Leadership & Oversight: Oversee and mentor mid-level and junior systems engineers across design, integration, testing, evaluation, and sustainment activities. Emphasize disciplined traditional systems engineering processes while encouraging appropriate use of AI tools to support analysis and improve team efficiency.
- Architecture & Integration: Assist the Government in defining solution architectures, system interfaces, and program allocations within enterprise standards. Perform integration across organizational boundaries using proven interface control methods, with AI tools applied selectively to help evaluate interdependencies and inform trade-offs.
- Technical Assessments & Studies: Lead Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments. Conduct rigorous traditional analysis as the primary approach, supplemented by AI tools to accelerate review of emerging technologies, risk data, and alternative solutions.
- Strategic & Operational Planning: Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk mitigation, and interface control design. Rely on conventional planning frameworks, applying AI tools where they add value to forecasting, prioritization, and risk insight.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee full-lifecycle systems engineering, including verification, validation, and transition to operational environments. Maintain traditional systems engineering discipline throughout, using AI tools as needed to support analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement.
