u2022 Engineering degree from reputable engineering school (preferably ABET accredited) in the fields of electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.\n \u2022 Capable of meeting EIT requirements\n \u2022 3D design experience with SolidWorks, Creo,, or other major CAD platform\n \u2022 2D design experience with AutoCAD, Visio or similar software for schematic development\n \u2022 Demonstrated design competence of components and electrical/mechanical assemblies\n \u2022 Working knowledge of fluid handling/process piping components, systems and practices\n \u2022 Working knowledge in practical application of materials, chemical compatibility and machine/process automation.\n \u2022 Working knowledge of electrical panel design/assembly and applicable practices to meet UL508 and CE/EU standards.\n \u2022 Can produce necessary engineering and design work for EMI products with oversight from others.\n \u2022 Can readily interpret and comply with EMI quality documents, procedures, and work instructions.\n \u2022 Basic knowledge and use of MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)\n \n \nLevel II Requirements (includes Level I requirements):\n \u2022 Proficient with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM\n \u2022 Has a valid EIT certificate or 3-5 years work experience in an engineering position\n \u2022 Completes engineering and design work for EMI products with minimal oversight.\n \u2022 Can instruct others in the use and implementation of EMI quality documents, procedures, and work instructions.\n \u2022 Demonstrates sound engineering judgment in component selection (fluid handling, instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical components), materials selection, and chemical compatibility issues applicable to EMI-designed products.\n \u2022 Demonstrated experience with software development on one or more PLC/PAC/HMI platforms including but not limited to Allen Bradley, Emerson/GE IP, Omron, OPTO22, and Automation Direct.\n \u2022 Expert use of MS Office Suite (MW Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)\n

Under the direction of the Director of Engineering, these positions work independently and/or as a team to develop, design and engineer fluid handling/process piping components, systems and other products for internal manufacturing and/or customers. The ideal candidate has broad experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, and process engineering as it relates to fluid systems for industrial, semiconductor, and biomedical applications.\n \n \nEDUCATION, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\n \n, u2022 Working toward or in possession of a PE license.\n \u2022 Can independently provide all aspects of engineering and design work for EMI products.\n \u2022 Can coordinate and lead a project team to complete projects on time and within financial constraints.\n \u2022 Can independently and competently represent the technical capabilities of EMI to customers and prospective sales contacts.\n \u2022 Consistently makes appropriate decisions regarding product quality and application suitability.\n \n \nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:\n \u2022 Perform all work in a safe manner.\n \u2022 Promptly report safety issues and any unsafe behavior of others to management.\n \u2022 Engineer products requested by sales, marketing and/or management team using CAD tools\n \u2022 Specify components/materials for customer projects and internal product development\n \u2022 Create documentation packages for specified products\n \u2022 Provide technical support for manufacturing\n \u2022 Provide technical support for customers\n \u2022 Perform engineering work as described in EMI’s change control procedures\n \u2022 Deliver good designs from bad concepts\n \u2022 Support management as requested\n \u2022 Comply with company policies and procedures\n \n
