Job description

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide compassionate care to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.
• Administer medications as directed by nursing staff and assist with medical documentation and reporting.
• Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and enhance their quality of life.

Requirements

• Proficient in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, including Cerner and eClinicalWorks.
• Knowledgeable in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques.
• Experience in critical care settings such as ICU or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term care practices, hospice care, geriatrics, pediatrics, and home care environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in behavioral health settings is advantageous.
