Sr. Relay Settings Engineer

• Experience producing relay settings for variety of line relay setting philosophies: Ground and Phase overcurrent coordination (TCC), step distance, line differential, and pilot schemes (POTT, DCB, etc.)

• Direct experience with configuring and providing relay settings for SEL (accelerator) and GE (EnerVista). Experience with other type of relays (Bassler, ABB, Siemens etc.) preferred but not required.
• Short circuit software such as CAPE and/or Aspen: Setup LZOP, CT, PT, Relay and conduct coordination study.
• PRC023, PRC026, PRC-027
• Highly preferred;
• Ability to read, understand, edit and develop variety of custom logic (.rdb).
• Experience with variety of other assets: Bus protection, Transformer protection, Cap bank, reactor protection etc.
• Ability to develop protection and control drawings such as one lines, relay and control schematics
• PRC/ NERC / FERC compliance

Additional experience that would be a plus but not required as follows:

• SCADA Programming, HMI, Automation, RTAC, Orion LX /Novatech, DNP and other protocols
• Network Switch
• 61850 Goose messaging, * line relaysettings: 3 years (Preferred)
• Aspen or CAPE/APA: 3 years (Preferred)
• siemens and/or abb relays: 1 year (Preferred)
