GCP Data Architect - Director in Mundelein

We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Architect with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Databricks to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise data solutions.

• 15+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles. \n

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Databricks. \n

• Expertise in BigQuery, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, and lakehouse architecture. \n

• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and data integration. \n

• Knowledge of GCP data services, cloud security, governance, and cost optimization. \n

• Experience designing scalable data platforms and handling large datasets. \n

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. \n

• Design end-to-end data architecture and cloud data solutions on GCP. \n

• Architect data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse platforms using Databricks, BigQuery, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake. \n

• Design and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration frameworks. \n

• Leverage GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub for data processing and integration. \n

• Define data modeling, governance, security, quality, and performance optimization standards. \n

• Lead cloud data migration and modernization initiatives. \n

• Collaborate with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. \n

• Support advanced analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI initiatives through modern data platforms. \n
