Software Tools Developer - Test Automation

• Develop and maintain software tools and automation features that support automated testing, following established engineering best practices
• Develop and maintain test libraries that interface with vehicle electronic control units (ECUs), test management systems, and defect tracking systems
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to convert manual test cases into automated tests
• Develop and maintain automation configurations and execution pipelines for test collateral and tools
• Collaborate with development teams and manual test teams to understand testing requirements and implement the needed tools and test scripts
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, identify regressions, and maintain alignment with team standards
• Identify opportunities to improve existing solutions and propose innovative approaches to unresolved testing problems
• Contribute to team deliverables through participation in Agile Scrum development sprints

Test Automation, Software Development, Testing, Automation, Infotainment, Test Tools, Develop Test Tools, Automotive Automation, Test Automation, Computer Engineering, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

• 2 years of experience in object-oriented analysis and design, multithreading, algorithms, and data structures
• 2 years of experience in Python development; coursework and/or research may be considered
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to root-cause problems creatively and effectively
• Prior work experience at client or in client’s Industry

• Experience with embedded operating systems, such as QNX or Linux
• Ability to work in a multi-site team environment and contribute in a self-driven, self-motivated manner
• Experience with web application development, such as Django
• Experience with automated GUI testing tools, e.g., Squish
• Experience with database querying and administration, e.g., SQL
