IT Operations Manager

In this role, you’ll coordinate infrastructure support, monitor system performance, manage technical priorities and work with internal teams to resolve issues, improve processes and maintain dependable IT services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily IT operations, including systems, networks, devices and business applications.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and address service interruptions or recurring technical issues.
• Coordinate IT support activities and prioritize incoming service requests.
• Manage system maintenance, software updates and routine infrastructure checks.
• Help maintain network availability, system reliability and data security.
• Oversee user account administration, access permissions and equipment provisioning.
• Coordinate incident response, troubleshooting and escalation procedures.
• Support backup processes, disaster recovery planning and business continuity activities.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors and external service providers.
• Track IT assets, software licenses, equipment inventory and maintenance schedules.
• Establish and maintain IT procedures, documentation and operational standards.
• Monitor service levels, support metrics and infrastructure performance indicators.
• Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reduce operational disruptions.
• Assist with IT budgeting, purchasing decisions and resource allocation.
• Coordinate infrastructure upgrades, system migrations and technology implementations.
• Work with security personnel to support access controls, patching and compliance requirements.
• Guide IT staff, assign responsibilities and support employee development.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

• Previous experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, systems administration or a related field.
• Experience coordinating technical teams, service providers or IT support functions.
• Strong understanding of computer networks, servers, operating systems and business applications.
• Familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft 365 and user administration.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services is an advantage.
• Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, access management and patch management.
• Familiarity with IT service management practices and ticketing systems.
• Experience with backup procedures, disaster recovery and incident management.
• Ability to monitor system performance and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Strong project coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to technical incidents.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with IT budgets, vendor management and asset tracking is helpful.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field is preferred; equivalent professional experience may also be considered.
