Job description

Our well-known, Fortune 100 client is looking for a REMOTE Senior Snowflake Developer to join their organization on a 11-month, extendable contract. You’d help build and support enterprise data solutions that power next-generation AI applications. This hands-on role combines Snowflake engineering, advanced SQL, Python, and data pipeline development with practical generative AI integration using APIs, RAG, and AI agents. You’ll collaborate with data and application teams to prepare reliable enterprise data, operationalize AI functionality, and troubleshoot production integrations. Ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of data engineering and applied AI. This is a fully remote position (within the US) that would follow an EST schedule

Requirements

Strong experience in Snowflake engineering, ETL/ELT, and enterprise data application development

  • Advanced SQL and Python skills for writing, debugging, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries

  • Ability to build and support Snowflake tables, views, transformations, and data pipelines based on business rules

  • Experience profiling, mapping, validating, transforming, and loading data

  • Experience supporting data warehouses, data marts, and similar enterprise data solutions

  • Ability to troubleshoot data quality issues, database connectivity, drivers, connectors, and client tools

  • Experience integrating cloud environments, partner technologies, and third-party tools

  • Practical experience developing or integrating AI-enabled application functionality

  • Experience with Python and/or JavaScript, REST APIs, and remote AI services such as Azure OpenAI or similar enterprise AI APIs

  • Familiarity with applied generative AI patterns such as RAG, RAG-based chatbots, AI agents, tool-enabled LLMs, and AI-powered search, retrieval, or summarization

  • Understanding of how structured enterprise data is prepared and exposed for AI application use

  • Ability to work with AI/model inputs and outputs without advanced data science or model research expertise

  • Familiarity with AI evaluation, monitoring, operationalization, model-result storage, and the challenges of generative AI development

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a highly technical, cross-functional Agile team

  • Strong documentation skills with attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives

  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership or mentor other developers

Plusses:

  • Experience with Planview Portfolios, portfolio management, project initiation, or project estimation solutions.

  • Knowledge of Change Data Capture (CDC) technologies such as Fivetran, Attunity, HVR, or comparable tools.

  • Experience with big data or massively parallel processing (MPP) databases.

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.

  • Understanding of cloud computing and cloud security concepts.

  • Experience developing automated data quality checks, integration tests, or regression tests.
